Who says we don't push our values? The U.S. has a huge presence all over the world, we have education and propaganda programs through the State Dept., the military, and intelligence agencies, USAID, National Endowment for Democracy, International Republican Institute, National Democratic Institute, and many more.
ReplyDeleteThere is a new program for example in Obama's budget regarding Venezuela, a program which is getting some negative attention from the left, but which looks to me is just traditional international outreach.
Okay, we don't push them enough.
ReplyDeleteAlso, it is considered "in bad taste" to push our values anywhere.
I have a question for you--
What's wrong with this statement: "You have no right to say that your preferences are better than someone else's preferences" ?
This statement is worded in many ways but all of them are wrong for the same reason. If you didn't see the problem with the above question, here are a couple of other ways to put it:
"No society is better than any other society, especially not America society."
"How dare you judge me!"
"It's just your opinion, you have no business claiming your opinion is better than anyone else's."
